How to Cool Down When Temperatures Are Rising

It seems summer is getting hotter and hotter every year, so it’s no surprise that people want to find more ways to keep cool. Choose Cotton

Choose light-colored clothing, preferably made of cotton. The same goes for choosing your sheets. Cotton is absorbent and breathable, so you won’t get that sticky feeling even if you sweat. The material also provides thermal insulation, making it the perfect fabric for both summer and winter.

Crank Up the AC

For the homebodies out there, cranking up the air conditioning is, and will always be, the most convenient way to cool down during the summer. To ensure that your HVAC system is performing optimally, clean and check on it regularly. Better yet, call the professionals. You don’t want your AC to fail when you need it the most, so it’s important to be proactive regarding air conditioning maintenance. Worried about energy consumption? Reduce indoor heat by turning off the light fixtures around your house when not in use. You can also opt for dark and heavy drapes to keep the light out altogether. LED lighting is also cooler than more traditional light bulbs.
